Governors Debt Council

The U.S. Government, through it’s accumulation of a debt seven times revenue, has forced the states to consider using their power under Article V of the U.S. Constitution to pressure Congress to propose a Balanced Budget Amendment (BBA) for ratification. Therefore, those governors who join the Governors Debt Council have pledged to use their position and voice to help achieve the adoption of a Balanced Budget Amendment in order to return America to a fiscally sustainable path.
