The U.S. debt ($31.4 trillion) is now 6.5 times U.S. income ($4.9 trillion), our yearly interest payment is well over $1 trillion (close to 33% of federal revenue), and Congress plans to borrow until we’re bankrupt!
To address the threat posed by the U.S. debt, I am leading the national campaign for a Balanced Budget Amendment that President Ronald Reagan led during the 1970s and 80s.
And while I’ve been able to recruit Mike Pence, Mike Huckabee and Lindsey Graham to assist me, I’ve had to sacrifice everything I have to keep the campaign alive.
This is a fight for the financial survival of our country. That makes it a fight that must be waged and won by “We the American People!” And with 27 of 34 states required by Article V of the Constitution to propose a Balanced Budget Amendment for ratification, we only need 7 more! I will be pushing forward in 2023/24 with the help of Republican Governors across America!
